Home Education
Introduction to Home Education in Jersey
The Jersey Association of Home Educators has been in existence for a number of years, and formalised as both an Unincorporated Association and a Non Profit Organisation in 2021. We are a growing community representing a large proportion of elective home educators in Jersey.
The key aims of the Jersey Association of Home Educators include:
-
Putting our children first;
-
Giving our children the best educational opportunities available, in groups and individually;
-
Coming together as a home educating community;
-
Helping families starting out in home education by providing support; and
-
Building a good relationship with the Jersey Education Department and Education Minister, and working in a collaborative way together to initiate positive change.
The Jersey Association of Home Educators seek to provide opportunities for elective home educating children and families to build upon our community and come together during structured events, activities, educational outings, community based projects, free play for the children and Member gatherings.
The Jersey Association of Home Educator hold an annual Open Day each Summer, which will be held on Saturday, 22 July this year at St Martin's Village Green from 2pm - 4pm.
If you are interested in elective home education and would like to know
